Getting started
How a pilot works.
A pilot is set up with you by a Scouten operator. Nothing starts without your agreement, and nothing is sent on your behalf unless you approve it.
The steps
Introduce your portfolio
Tell Scouten which buildings or markets matter to you. Addresses are matched to parcels and shown as Exact, Likely, Pick one or Not found, so you can see what was and was not matched.
Review the match
A Scouten operator reviews the matches with you. Anything unresolved is listed as unresolved rather than linked to a nearby property.
Agree to monitoring
Daily monitoring starts only when you confirm it for a portfolio, so you agree to that first. You will be told the schedule, the limits above and the end date.
Review what changes
After the baseline, changes in the public record show up on your portfolio page, each with its source.
Optional: a controlled outreach test
Outreach is a separate decision. It needs a named sender, a named recipient, the exact copy, a cost limit, a reply owner and a stop procedure, all agreed in advance.
Limits that apply
- You can subscribe yourself with a card through Stripe once billing is switched on. Until then, a Scouten operator sets up access by hand.
- Coverage is confirmed per address from public records, never assumed for a county or city. A property that cannot be matched to a parcel with certainty stays unmatched; Scouten does not guess a neighbour.
- Monitoring alerts appear in the app. A weekly digest email goes only to people a Scouten operator has added, with their consent. Emails do not go out as each change happens.
- Daily monitoring runs at 06:10 UTC, compares readings at least 20 hours apart, and covers up to 1,000 properties per portfolio. The first reading is a baseline; changes show from the next one.
- Scheduled monitoring is approved through 2027-06-30 and does not renew on its own.
- A scan cannot be started on demand.
- Where the in-account Growth list is not switched on, or does not yet rank your trade, a Growth list is prepared and sent by a Scouten operator, by hand. Nothing is sent automatically.
Ask for a pilot
Pilot requests open once an approved contact address is configured (PILOT_REQUEST_URL).
